A SERIES OF DEVOTIONAL LUST is a series that breaks down desire, lust, passion, anger, and love, and reconstructs sacrality, devotion, and sensuality. the series starts with anger, violence, and "lust" being portrayed as one of the deadly sins. as the series progresses, lust is reconstructed into a sacred term for unconditional passion, desire, love, and devotion. society has set expectations on what love, and even intimacy, is supposed to look like, creating this false image of passion. most of the times, passion looks aggressive and detrimental, especially to women, which lowers the standard for many people. therefore, these pieces are meant to stitch together the process of reconstructing love and questioning our sensuality, sexuality, passion, and desire.

this five-piece series is a series that is raw, vulnerable, and powerful. these pieces are direct creations from the depths of my heart and waters of my womb that encapsulate my own process of breaking down my walls and reconstructing my own relationships with desire, passion, lust, love, anger, and so much more.

written text: i just wanted to be heard. why does my sadness turn into anger? i am no longer receptive to love like a little girl. my violence keeps me in a chokehold. why am i never satisfied? i guess i found lust instead.

written text: my anger burns up my love, passion, & desire. and all i seem to fall into is lust, though it always scalds my skin. why?

written text: is the soft touch of intimacy too much to ask for? i want the taste of the elixir to trickle down my throat into my womb. what is sacred lust/ love?

written text: is it the pleasure that aches under the grip of touch? or is it passion that dares to explore the depths of the soul? or, is it safety that creates the delicacy of the clouds?
